SAME’s Academy of Fellows recognizes those members who have rendered dedicated and outstanding service to the Society, military engineering, and the A/E/C profession. Since the first cadre of Fellows were named in 1973, this distinction is reserved for those whose service and impact stands out as exemplary.
For 30 years SAME has honored and relied upon the wisdom and guidance of our Academy of Fellows as an organizing body who sets the Society’s strategic priorities and action plans, and serves to inform and inspire all members. Today, there are more than 800 members of the Academy of Fellows. If you would like to take your experience and passion to the next level within the Society, or if you know someone who may be interested, consider nominating yourself or someone else for the 2026 Academy of Fellows.
An informative webinar will be presented on July 15 to kick-off the nominations and provide important details about the process. Please note that it is now REQUIRED for all nominees and nominators to attend or review the recording of the webinar.
