As part of our ongoing support of The Baltimore Station the Post participated in their annual “Take a Swing for Recovery” event on 11 April. The Post sponsored a bay at Topgolf Baltimore. Our team included Ola Awosika, Stacy Kahatapitiya, Mindy Hinsley, and Ivy Harvey. Over 100 golfers attended and it was a huge success.
All proceeds went to support The Baltimore Station’s mission of supporting homeless veterans on the road to recovery. Our Post Philanthropy Committee has supported TBS for many years serving and eating dinners with the veterans at the facility near Raven’s Stadium.
“When people come down and volunteer with us they actually are involved with the men and the veterans they are helping. So when they come down and serve a meal they actually serve the meal and sit down with the men and share that meal together which is very different from a lot of other programs,”
