Event Recap: Spring Clay Shoot

On April 16, 2026, sixty supporters of the Baltimore Post gathered at PG Trap and Skeet Center for a fun and competitive day on the Sporting Clays course. With 50 targets across 10 stations winding through the woods—and perfect weather to match—it was an ideal day to be outdoors.

Guests arrived throughout the morning to check in, enjoy coffee and donuts, and connect with fellow attendees before heading out in squads of five, mixing skill levels from beginner to advanced. In total, 12 teams competed for top honors, along with awards for Top Overall Shooter and Women’s High Score.

A crowd favorite this year? Mulligans! Participants could purchase a few extra shells to boost their scores—an idea that added a fun twist and plenty of excitement on the course.

Now in its sixth year, this event has raised nearly $60,000 for the Post’s STEP Scholarship fund. Thanks to the support of participants and sponsors, proceeds from registrations, raffles, and mulligans will help provide valuable scholarships to deserving STEM students.
