Volunteering Opportunity – Pittsburgh Region Future City Competition

When:  Saturday, January 20, 2024 @ 10 AM (arrive by 9 AM for instructions) — need to register ASAP

Time:  arrive by 9 AM for instructions; event/judging starts at 10 AM and goes to 12:00 PM. Students and volunteers have lunch and then the top 5 schools are announced thereafter.  Winner selected moves on to National competition in Washington DC at a later date.

Where:  Fed Ex Ground HQ, Moon Township

Volunteer opportunities (NOTE: Volunteers do not have to be engineers)

  • As a Judge (judge the student’s innovations; see description below)
  • As a general Volunteer (many opportunities to be involved)

NOTE: Judging begins with the virtual opportunity for City Essay scoring ahead of competition day. City Model, City Presentation, and Special Award judging are completed on competition day). If you are interested, you can be both a City Essay judge as well as an event day judge. However, you cannot sign up for more than one judging category on event day.
