ACG Mission. ACG strives to promote a better understanding of the commissioning process by educating, training, and certifying qualified individuals as Certified Commissioning Authorities (CxAs).
EMA Mission. EMA provides comprehensive training and education for energy management professionals, building owners, and other industry professionals. EMA is in the process of applying for recognition in the Department of Energy's Better Buildings® program for its Energy Management Professional (EMP) Certification, which is expected in the next few months.
Chapter Collaboration. SAME Posts and ACG/EMA are encouraged to collaborate by having joint meetings and hosting education sessions for members of both association. SAME and ACG/EMA agree to share Post/Leadership contacts on request.

APPA – Leadership in Educational Facilities, provides educational professionals the tools, services and networking to build their careers, transform their institutions, and elevate the value and recognition of facilities in education. APPA is the association of choice for more than 14,000 educational facilities professionals from 1,300 educational institutions in North America. APPA’s internationally recognized programs include the esteemed Leadership Academy, and the Institute for Organization Management. APPA’s esteemed recognition programs, thought leaders’ research, its vast body of knowledge and its publications support understanding of the industry’s professional disciplines. Through its Facilities Performance Indicators program and industry data collection, APPA identifies best practices and solutions to critical facility issues. The American Institute of Architects has been the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners since 1857. AIA and SAME support each other’s programs and allow for exchange of member rates for select webinars and seminars. See MOA.

Capitol Technology University, currently located in Laurel MD, was founded in Washington DC by a Navy veteran to provide radio communications and electronics training for naval personnel. They have been providing training and education focused on the military and department of defense needs since 1927. They offer programs in Cybersecurity, Mechatronics Engineering, and Construction Management and Critical Infrastructure. SAME members can now earn a mater or doctoral level degree and receive special tuition rates when enrolled in one of Capitol Technology’s distinguished online programs. SAME members enrolling in master or doctoral level courses will receive a 5% discount. Dependents of SAME members enrolling fulltime in on-campus undergraduate courses will receive a 10% discount. The mission of the Construction Management Association of America is to promote the profession of Construction Management and the use of qualified Construction Managers on capital projects and programs. CMAA has provided SAME members unlimited access to their virtual CCM prep course at 66% discount. SAME members may register for their programs at the CMAA member rate using code: SAME SOP. See MOA.
Design Build Institute of America promotes the value of design-build project delivery and teaches the effective integration of design and construction services. SAME and DBIA collaborate on programs for various conferences such as the Federal Owners Forum. See MOA.

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) conducts research, development, and demonstration projects for the benefit of the public in the United States and internationally. As an independent, nonprofit organization for public interest energy and environmental research, they focus on electricity generation, delivery, and use in collaboration with the electricity sector, its stakeholders and others to enhance the quality of life by making electric power safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible. Potential areas of engagement with SAME include Energy & Sustainability, Resilience, and Industry-Government Engagement. The mission of the International Code Council is to provide the highest quality codes, standards, products and services for all concerned with the safety and performance of the built environment. SAME and ICC explore opportunities to promote building safety as a vital component of national security. See MOA.

The National 8(a) Association helps 8(a) certified Businesses and all other companies that work with them to gain valuable education, promotion, and federal contracting information they need to further advance their level of experience and achieve a higher degree of success. The National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) provides education and credentialing services to active duty and veterans in the cnostructino and maintenance crafts. The organization has been instrumental in ensuring that military school-house curriculum matches credentialing requirements. NCCER will continue to collaborate with the SAME Credentialing Committee and Posts are encouraged to use them as a resource for support of veterans. Click here to see the MOA.
The mission of The National Council for Public-Private Partnerships is to advocate and facilitate the formation of public-private partnerships at the federal, state and local levels, where appropriate, and to raise the awareness of governments and businesses of the means by which their cooperation can cost effectively provide the public with quality goods, services and facilities.
Institutes/Post Collaboration. SAME Posts are encouraged to collaborate with NCPPP and it’s institutes directly in order to focus Regional or Post meetings on a particular sector of public – private partnerships.
The mission of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying is to advance licensure for engineers and surveyors in order to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of the public. NCEES will assist SAME members in completing the licensure process – to include deployed service members. See MOA.
The HUBZone Contractors National Council is a non-profit trade association providing information and support for companies and professionals interested in the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Contracting Program.
The Council assists companies in contributing to the economic development of disadvantaged communities by reducing unemployment and homelessness by strengthening, improving, and promoting the HUBZone Program and by helping HUBZone-certified companies maximize their success in earning federal contracts.

SAME has partnered with NSPE and their credentialing division, NICET, to promote credentialing. Local Posts and State Societies should feel free to conduct joint meetings and joint endeavors regarding STEM, Credentialing, Veteran support, Education and more. To see the MOA, click here.
SAME and Northwestern University have partnered to provide the Master of Project Management (MPM) and the Executive Management for Design and Construction (EMDC) programs to SAME uniformed and veteran members at up to a 25% discount on net tuition after Yellow Ribbon program and other third-party scholarships. The Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI) is a non-profit organziation dedicated to advancing the practice and science of project management. This MOA describes how PMI and SAME intend to share resources and exchange information in pursuit of building collaborative efforts, exploring opportunities to promote each other's mission and creating mutual benefit for PMI and SAME members. Founded in 1973, the Society of Marketing Professional Services is the only North American organization for marketing and business development professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction industries. SAME collaborates with SMPS on conference programs for our marketing and business development professionals. See MOA.
The mission of the United Association (UA) of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada is to help our members build a better life for themselves and their families.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) serves the unique needs of approximately 2,600 firms involved in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service. They do this by providing members with high-quality educational materials and programs to help them attain the highest level of managerial and technical expertise. MCAA includes the Mechanical Service Contractors of America, the Plumbing Contractors of America, the Manufacturer/Supplier Council, the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation and the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau.
SAME's partnership with UA/MCAA will address the shortage of craft skilled workers in the construction industry and related fields. SAME Posts, UA local unions and MCAA local contractors are encouraged to collaborate on local issues of mutual interest. Click here to see the MOA.

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post – 9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. SAME will assist with professional knowledge for HFOT. Posts are a valuable resource for corporate partners, local building code interpretation, and engineering support. See MOA.
NextOp recruits, trains, and places high-performing middle-enlisted military leaders into energy, construction and healthcare careers. SAME assists with credentialing information and helps NextOp expand it's reach to the national stage to magnify the impact on our veterans. See MOA.
In 2007, Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) launched its vocational rehabilitation and employment program, PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment). With offices now co-located in VA medical centers in Tampa, Richmond, San Antonio, Chicago, Minneapolis and Long Beach, Operation PAVE serves veterans nationwide using a hybrid, integrated approach to assist veterans and transitioning service members who face significant barriers to employment, as well as their spouses and caregivers. PVA and PAVE do not only serve paralyzed veterans, but all veterans with any barrier to employment. See MOA.
Vets2PM helps military veterans become Project Managers using a well-defined step-by-step program. They will play an active role with the Credentialing Committee and Posts should be aware of their services as a resource to assist military members with mission assurance and transitioning veterans with career assurance. Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics (STEM) Partnerships

Diversity in Action is a print/digital magazine and website that reaches STEM professionals and students who are women, African American, Hispanic, Asian and Native American; veterans and active military; people with disabilities; members of the LGBT community, or members of other diversity groups. SAME provides articles occasionally and provides the magazine at events. See MOA.
Learning for Life (LFL) develops and delivers leadership and career focused programs aligned to state and national standards that enable students to achieve their full potential. This is done primarily through camps. LFL and Boy Scouts of America (BSA) are affiliates. Additionally, SAME provides support to BSA for the Engineering Merit Badge. See MOA.
The National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS) was established in 1988 to provide a forum for specialized secondary schools focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines to exchange information and program ideas. Posts are encouraged to engage member schools directly and reference this MOA to share opportunities and expand the aperture of STEM careers for our youth. This partnership represents another tool for developing future engineers through the STEM pipeline.

QL+ mission is to foster and generate innovations that aid and improve the quality of life of those who have served our country through linking injured veterans with engineering students at some of the nation's leading universities. This partner really falls across STEM and Veteran Support. Three of the SAME goals for this partnership are:
The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); members apply and integrate these concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
